festae fry / growout tank

I just picked up 15 festae fry. I have them in my 10 gallon right now until their 125 gallon is ready. They are sooo tiny!

This tank has 0ppm nitrates because of the aquaponics hybrid so I figure it's better for them to put on a little size for a couple weeks in here. There is no bio filter only a mech HOB for circulation. The water in this tank is cleaner than my tap.. ;)

Nice. I remember this tank from one of your tank build threads. It looks very good! Good luck with the Festae. They are very beautiful fish. A breeding pair is absolutely stunning.

Thanks bro. That's what I am going for is a single pair in my 125 gallon. It was either this or hire a hitman to go after Balton77 and take his :grinno: lol

Of course, you and Jeff are first on my list. I'll slide em your way for a decent photo shoot of my tanks ;) I bought 15 and they will be on their own in a 125 gallon with drip so I should get some pretty good growth rate on these guys.

Thanks bro! Nitrates in that tank don't register with an API liquid test kit. Aquaponics is a new found passion for me.. :D
 
Nice, it will be very interesting to watch their growth. This should be a bit of a change from your nice peaceful eartheaters, that's for sure!
