long story. 2 weeks ago i decided to move my 12in. male and 7in. female from there 90 to a 125. after moving the male i moved the partial divider and found an unfertilized batch of eggs!!! i was so pissed, ive wanted to breed these to for months!! well i quickly moved the female and the rock with the eggs into the new tank. the eggs went fungusy and i figured oh well maybe next time. today im doing a water change and notice something in the gravel, to my surprise there are 15-20 fesate fry alive and well!! the weird thing is the parents are not guarding/taking care of them?? they probably abandoned tham?? what do you think??

put in some dither fish if the tank is empty, this will reinforce the parents bond and help condition them to take better care of their current babies along with helping condition them in the future. Make sure it is a fast and expendable fish, it will most likely die, but it will keep the parents bond strong. This will also keep them from turning on each other because they will be able to focus their aggression else where.

actually, now that i think about it there was a 3in lone con in there that i couldnt catch, i found her mangled a couple days ago!! also, this pair shows no aggression towards eachother
