Have you tested your water?
Yes
If I did not test my water...
  1. ...I recognize that I will likely be asked to do a test, and that water tests are critical for solving freshwater health problems.
Do you do water changes?
Yes

I picked up this 11 inch festae yesterday. I noticed his belly is a little sunken, not bad though. He is swimming and acting normal, but not eating. I took a picture of his poop as well. Should I be concerned yet in regard to a parasite? If so and he won't eat, how should I treat him? He is currently housed by himself in a 54 gallon quarantine tank before he goes to my 220.

Poop doesn’t look white and stringy yet. It could be the early stages. I’d start feeding some hex shield and mix with garlic or bloodworm juice.

Thank you.

What have you offered? Do you have any history on him?
Any idea of what he was eating before?
How long have you had him? Could just need some time.
I would still run the treatment suggested just to be safe and it’s easier to treat now anyway since he is in quarantine.
