I have a pair that was sold to me as male and female, but now im not to certain. Both fish have black dorsols, both have had bars and both have blue spangling on fins and dorsol.
One is bigger (thinking male) at 4.5 inch and it seems to have a greenish hue starting to show on his cheeks. When I just noticed the blue spangling on the presumed female it got me thinking? Also the presumed male has that black dorsol which I heard males can have at a young age.
Apreciate the help guys.

1,4 and 5 is who I think male.

I think those are just 2 males.

Just read a good thread on here, which makes me stick with my original thought male and female and also cause the seller is a great source! Male has black dorsol and female had alot of spangling. I cant wait to watch these guys turn into stunners. The patience is all worth it wifh this species

How long have they been in the tank? Only reason I ask is because both my male and female showed totally different colors and stress patterns until they were introduced. Then, it was totally obvious who was who. But my female had TONS of spangling all the way to around 5".

tricky fish at times.........but I'm still a newb so I'll pass to those who have spawned before me as to their thoughts. My experience is currently 1 pair.

Very nice looking fish either way and I hope you do have a pair.
