I have a male & female Festae at about 6" in a 360 gallon community tank. I am thinking about moving them to a 180 gallon tank, just the two of them, would a 180 gallon be to small of a tank when they reach adult size? There is no mating activity going on between them, but I am thinking that is because they are in a community tank. The Female dominates the Male, not to kill just a push every now and then... Neither of them have any fins or anything missing, they get alone ok... Although I am not sure if that will change in the 180 gallon. Do I need a bigger tank to house the two Festae in?

I would leave them on the 360 and move the rest to the 180. That way no need to upgrade when they grow.

Yes I could do that, I was thinking that the community cichlids listed in my signature block would need move room because it was more of them, but yes, I may consider that, thanks for your input/advice :)

I think leaving the larger stock in the 360 and placing the two Festae in the 180 is a good idea. I'm pretty sure you would be dealing with more problems by doing things the other way around. Moving an established stock of that number of fish to a smaller tank could lead to new aggressive behavior and stress. A 180 gallon tank is plenty of room for a pair of Festae IMO. Good luck with what ever you decide. You have several fish that I really like.

I would move the festae to the 180.. A 180 is a good tank for an adult pair.Leaving them in a 360 would be awesome, but it's not necessary...
