Festae Question (with pictures)

I have what I have always believed was a male Festae but recently what looks like an egg tube appeared. Based on what I have read on their appearance and coloration I thought for sure I was right but I want to try to confirm it's sex before I go on assuming it's one or the other. The fish is about 4-5 inches or so. Here's some photos of the business in question.

That second pic certainly looks male. The tube is curved.

Thanks. I see what your saying, so if the tube points forward it's a male? Another question I have is whether it shows up more prominently when he's in the mood to breed. I swear I've never seen it until this week.
