I just got 2 festae that are about 5-6 inches.they just came in so i will pick them up tomorrow.how do i vent a fish?can i do it in the store tomorrow?going in to a 180 gal. tank.

At that size just look for black on the dorsal fin. Black will indicate female. Much easier than venting.

that doesnt work. heres a male at 4"

and there are lots of males with black in their dorsals.

i picked my fish up today.the choice was out of my control because somebody already bought the other 3 in the tank.i think they are both male since they seem to have a green sheen 2 them.no matter im still happy!i will post pictures tomorrow.i didn't want to stress them more by handling them so in did not vent them .thanks for the info vrwc.
