Festae sexing help

Hi guys just need some help sexing my new festae smaller one is 5 and a half inches, bigger one had to go in in a hurry. So no measurement, its been a week and they are doing good. Will reply with pics

I agree, but could use another more clear shot of the smaller one ti confirm.

The dark areas in both their dorsal fins generally indicates both are female.

thanx for the input guys, il upload some more pics asap. the bigger one i thought to be male with its longer fins and the stripes on it tends to be bright green and smaller one has jet black stripes.

In this latest pic, the one on the right is looking more male, beyond the dorsal color, you've got a better angle which shows the profile is more masculine.
And the female (on the left) is starting to color up nicely, and we can see the contrast in her profile.
To get good info, it's all about the way the photo is taken.
Shadows sometimes show thru fins as pigment, which can be deceiving, and getting a correct angle really helps with profile diagnosis.
