Yours has alot more spangling and less barring, which is usually male.....

That's a male I read that if it appears that the face is frowning or straight it's a male if its smiling Its a female idk if this is a proven fact but my female was 1.5 and smiling lol

I think the festae is a male. The more I have researched festae, the more the differences are becoming more apparent. This one does not seem to look like my female at all when she was around this size. The picture with Jc's photo helps convey this idea because his appears to be female in my opinion. FreshWaterPredators should be able to validate or confirm gender though, he seems knowledgable with festae and their genders.

+1, your photo helps convey the differences between male and female. For the record, Jc1119 also seems knowledgable with festae so I would trust his opinion as well, even though I am jealous of his festae.
