Do you think a festae trimac hybrid could be fertile? im thinking it might be because there both amphilophus. Has this been done before? I have access to an adult male trimac and I could order a female festae. Also i might get a female red head cichlid. So maybe i could do a syn X trimac and festae X trimac and cross the 2 hybrids?

Same genus hybrids should always be fertile but I'm pretty sure Festae is no longer considered Amphilophus. That said they are close enough to where majority fry should be fertile. Syns are hard to pair so if you can get it to pair then all the more luck to you. But yes you could cross the 2 hybrids.

Did you breed this fish yourself? I find it hard to believe that this fish has any BP in it.
I have a fish that looks almost exactly like this, and is the product of a Fader FH and a Texas.

Anyone who know about Kamfa can tell you this fish shows Kamfa traits which are thrown out when you breed Parrot or Vieja.

I did not breed that fish but anyone will tell you there is not Texas in that fish. Here is the original thread.
