is that a frontosa???? it cant be right, i"m just seeing things. yeah, i'm sure of it. everyone knows not to put relatively peaceful fronts with aggressive new worlds...putting that aside they shouldn't even co exist in the same water parameters, thats like... i will stop. i will stop. people can kill fish however they want. i eat some as food. all the time. it is not my place to expect people to do what is best for their animals...i am truly sorry. now return to your festae stuff

You could have left out all the sarcasm!!

OP, your Festae look great! Id like to keep some one day.. you should consider getting rid of the Front though.. or the Festae. Hey, what's the stock up in that tank?... not sure about the growth on the Festae, but maybe your setup is keeping them from growing properly.. not sure, just throwing it out there...

^ no, festae are slow growers even under the best conditions.

Is that a texas in your tank with the festae/frontosa? Does it work? My texas/carpintis hates my festae and chases em around a lot... I'm thinking it might not last long.

Nice update, they look good. Festae are definitely slow growers...I've always thought that it makes it all that much more impressive to see a large Festae. One more thing, even if you have a male and female, it doesn't make them a pair.

Tbh most fronts you see today are tank raised and can handle a wide range of water perametres. its more than possible to keep them with new world cichlids providing you give adequate housing and tankmates.
