A few of you may remember some of my previous updates where I asked how I could help my festae color up. Well, I'm pleased to announce that both festae, especially the female, have been showing off some great coloration. Better yet, their improved coloration seems to be constant, and they havn't reverted back to the dull colors at all. I decided to take a few pictures to show you how much they have improved. I could only catch the female, and the pictures are somewhat blurry, but you can still see the improvement.

Here is the female about two months ago:

good stuff. my female festae was showing no bars at all for a long time unless she got really angry. lately the stripes have been more consistent along with the red color.
keep it up - looks like they're on their way to maturity :)

That's quite an improvement. Mine were yellow like yours are right now when I got them and gradually turned red all over so give it a little more time.

Use some Hikari Cichlid Gold in their diet, it should bring out the red quite well. It worked for mine.
