Festae Vs. Red Ceibal

I had to pull my sub dominant pair of Festae from the main tank with the dominant ones, they were getting destroyed! So, I tossed em in with my four Red Ceibals, 5 Geo. Iporagensis and four pike cichlids from Uruguay. . . I know, it's a mess Anyhow, the dominant fish from the other groups took exception to the newbies and went straight at the male festae, the red Ceibal especially, so, here is a shot of what was going on, it went on for over an hour. I will post more in the series when I get home from Florida

Thanks all, the Festae are only in there until next weekend, they will be re-homed for their own good. I will be away for a week and I didn't want to see the Dom pair kill these ones.

how big is the ceibal? good to see him standing his ground. my male red ceibal completely destroyed a Gymno when i put him in there for 1 damn night

Nice pic Ray! Always thought red ceibals and festae are similar in both appearance and temperament - red ceibals are like little mini festaes

They are by no means slouches, the Ceibals are about 5" . . . in Florida now, Dovii fishing in the morning
