I have a 55 gallon set up, and have two festaes on hold to occupy it. While at the store I noticed a couple of electric blue JD's that I like as well. All the fish are about the same size (2"). Would this be a problem housing the four fish in the same tank for a couple of months until I can get another tank?

hard to say. It's doable, but there's always a chance that you'd have an extra agressive one. I'd try it and keep a close eye on them all, and have some tank dividers ready.

from what I've heard EB JD's are kind of sensitive/docile when young, and festae are bastards at any size.

They might get a long at first, but who knows how long it will last

my experience with festae at juvie size is that they are fairly passive but that's a heck of a risk to take, especially when you consider the average price of an EBJD. Your call but personally, I don't think I'd risk it.

In my experience the man problem will be between the 2 Festae. When small and young they are not normally too agressive with other fish but are with other festae

Thanks guys. I figured it would be a little to much, but wanted to hear from you guys before I made my choice.
