Everyone answered correctly...but I bet you are not any closer to knowing how to distinguish false terrors from true red terrors...Festae have a spot on the anal fin that is above the midline of the fin, whereas the spot on the false terror extends below the midline of the fin..if that doesn't tell you then the easiest way is to look at the barring. True Festae will have about 6 to 7 vertical bars but the final set of bars (closest to the face) are joined and split to form a y.

My lfs bought about 20 festae from the wholesaler and they came as mayans. So now they are still trying to sell these mayans at the unbelievable price they payed for them.
