Festivums

I'm going to be purchasing some festivums and am wondering how many I should get. Originally I was planning on only one, but after digging up some more information on them, which there isn't much, a few places said they should be kept in small groups. Do you think three would be okay given their peaceful disposition or would I still be risking two pairing up and bullying the third wheel?

There a pretty peaceful cichlid a group of them would get along fine. But like any cichlid if you get two to pair up they will get a little aggressive. But if kept in a nicely planted tank with lots of room a group of 5-6 would do fine

Okay, it's a 150 gallon. 72x18x28, currently housing a severum, Senegal bichir, and some boesemani rainbows, all babies.

Yeah that's where I found mine. But I'm not sure if they ship to Canada. I used Bluegrass Aquatics, $8.99 for them plus they sent me a code for 20% off the entire order. I ended up ordering 5 of the festivum along with some Congo tetras and a couple more of the boesemani rainbows.

Just came from Aquabid. $8.99 is great, just can't get over $50 shipping a $9 fish. LA ruined me there.

I wouldn't just ship 1 not worth it. Find out how many can ship for $50.00. Says if you spend 100.00 shipping is only $40.00

I adopted one from a LFS that was going out of business. It's the only festivum in my planted 125 and only picks a fight with my chocolate cichlids from time to time. Mine is all bark and no bite though.

They are really easy to find. Just have your LFS order one from Segrest Farms. They are almost always in stock. If you can't get your LFS to order from there then most Petcos do...just be sure to quarantine! I know the vendor "BlueGrassCichlids" on here orders from them too.
