Festivus cichlid spawn!

My pair of brazilian festivus spawned out of nowhere. They've been protecting a top corner of the tank but didnt see any eggs. Few days later (today) i noticed 30 little wiggelers near the top with the female! This is their first spawn so i will leave them there with the parents.

Do they normally stay at the top with the fry? Or move them around like geos?

wow really nice. I have never kept them but have always liked their look. Most cichlids move their babies around so... I'd assume they behave kind of like Angels.

Thanks i was watching the parents herd the fry back to the top corner. During the confusion 5 were devoured by 1 sarpae tetra the fry are are about 2 days old. Tried crushing flakes to dust and i cant even tell if they are eating it. I hope my gf comes home soon so i can get some fry food.
