Those are som pretty tanks. Betta are some of the best mini monsters.

Thanks mate, yeah I'm enjoying them just now; perfect fish for relatively small tanks, my white male is in a volume of water equal to 6 gallons (8 including back filter compartment), and he has plenty of space to explore and set-up territory, not worried about space in the slightest

Very nice! I agree with celebrist - love seeing bettas in appropriate environments. They have so much personality, and love to explore.

I have my betta in a 5 gallon planted as well. He is a happy guy. Wish he wouldn't kill shrimp, though. Jerk. So his roomate is a Nerite.

Quick update on this, swapped out the 5 gallon for something smaller (3 gallon), I'm loving the ikea kallax unit just now, letting me put other nano's on each shelf lol

Bettas are best, i want to set up a proper lighting and filter system (the current overhead filter kinda compromises proper lighting) then i can have tank as nice as convicts! my betta is far from pretty but is pretty unique, as for convicts bettas they are STUNNING
