Thanks a lot guys. Im mainly feeding cod and krill. Planning to feed krill as little as I can. My last ray was hooked on krill and wouldnt eat anything else. This ray seems to eat like a pig. Anything else I should try other then cod? How about mussels? My last ray hated mussels lol
I've tried many seafood. I recommend against cod unless you catch them yourself or have an affordable source. The problem is that the flesh is very light and flaky. You'll notice clouds of tiny white flesh particles fly from every bite. You'll definitely need dither fish to clean up. This lead to higher bio load for me and increased nitrate buildup. I skip cod. Even when it's on sale now. Something with denser flesh much more desirable.
Realizing I didn't offer any options. Common foods are tilapia, snapper, shrimp, squid, mussels, scallops, smelt and silver sides in moderation. You really want whiter fish. Tuna and salmon too oily. I'm not a huge fan of tilapia but it's ok
