closer then the 3rd pic?lol
could try next time
odd thing about these flowers
i seen them a day ago, didnt get pix
went out that night, they were gone
went out today and poof, full of flowers again
tonight,gone
guess they only survive in the day
I have been looking at those at the local fish store. do they survive in water around 83 degree's. they are stunning (maybe I just used that word because I just read it. sorry if I stole someones expression.)
They will do just fine at that temp. Midnight, try confining the plants to one area with rocks or a floating ring. Mine don't grow big floating loose in the pond but if I tuck them in some rocks they grow incredibly fast and tall. Sometimes almost 18-24". The flowers do close at night, only last a couple days and will die off quick. If the plant is healthy it will produce multiple flower stemsat the same time.
you can see the ring in the 2nd pic
was more but the fish think its food
and i plan to make a floating mesh "pot" with rocks for my plants
should look good if i ever do it
i have like 3 barrels of plants i could add
did i use enough ?
Another way of confining them is to tie fishing line to a couple of rocks. String the line across the pond and they will not move. I do this to keep them from getting into my skimmer. Once the marginal plants are big around the edges, I throw them in around hem to really fill in gaps.
