Hi every1 first off just want to thank you guys for the last three years ive come on the site and gotten some great info when i didnt know where else to go. I have finally set up my account so i can actually be part of the community. Unfortunatley i have relocated down to Wellington FL from Buffalo NY. Got rid of everything i owned 3 10 gallon tanks (breeders) a 125 gallon with my 27 inch redtail and 21 inch silver arrowanna and a 240 gallon planted with 6 Peacock bass (cichla ocellaris) that reproduced along with between 20-30 firemouths and 20-30 convicts with an 8 inch tiger shovel nose and 30 feeder crayfish for a constant food supply im gonna try to post pics soon.
Here's my problem after relocating im having a huge problem locating our passion monster fish. it seems no matter how many pet stores i locate or go to no1 can locate any fish i want. Im trying to locate a large tank as well and cant seem to find any1 that has any new or used large tanks in my area. Im currently in the process of beginning to get financed for a home and i will be building a large in home aquarium between 4-5k gallons. i need a filler in the mean time which is where im hoping youz can help me again. Any information is good information.
I recently got into contact with a local pet market owner. Offering an amount of small species right now im hoping that after dropping off the 4,000$ wish list they will start bringing in more large species
www.mywholepetmarket.com any1 in the area give me an email and i can get you in touch with the owner Jill shes willing to give out discount cards to our members i guess.
Any way please help me out wish list includes
-Large Aquarium (glass or acrylic) 90 gallons and over
-Redtail Catfish (Phractocephalus hemioliopterus)
-Peacock Bass (cichla ocellaris)
-Arrowana (Silver or Black)
-Geophagus (maybe demon fish?)
-Large amount of gravel as well as shale and or driftwood
-Amazon Sword
-N. compressiceps (i nfo too... reguarding compatibility)
and hopefully some other tank fillers i know the convicts and firemouths are fast and easily reproduced so most of the time as long as the large guys are fed they are quick enough and smart enough to stay protected in the tank. obviously stay in schools.
wow sorry so much reading thanks again
