fh and redxtexas project

my friend brought over his super red texas with hopes of breeding it with my fh. my fh is pretty nice, good red color, nice pearls, and gorgeous flowers. the super red texas is a beaut as well. almost a perfect orange, with the shape of a texas, but the pearls of the texas on the orange body. ill try to get pics up some time this week but we just introduced them about 3 days ago. so far there on separate sides of the tank but hopefully he mans up because i know shes ready to breed.

most male red texas are infertile, you need a male flowerhorn and a female red texas

the guy who we purchased it from sold it with a female, and i was told it was already a breeding pair that had produced many spawns already. im using the same male with my female. we'll see how it goes.

Its an ok specimen. But it should be a great cross if you succeed.
