FH breeding progress.

I bought 2 fh off a breeder near me. He said they get along but what I believe to be a female (4") was chasing the males(3 3/4") so I divided them with a clear divider.

It been about a week and I came home to find the tank completely moved around and and area near the center with no gravel. The female has what i can see a tiny part of her egg tube dropping and males fertilizing organ is out( can some please tell me what this is called). Does this show hope and that they might try breeding through the divider?

Also, should I leave them separated or let them together?

No egg tube with the young ones. So I have a larger pair 6-7" that the females was too dominant for. No damage but the male was too passive. So I divided the tank into 3 sections. Large male in the middle and females on the side. He shows interest in the small female. She has an egg tube starting to drop. Males digging near the large female but no egg tube. Hoping I'm sucessful.
