in the tank with my fish
Hi, my two inches FH was doing fine with my elephant nose for about a week, but after i changed the water he starts to pick on only my 4" elephant nose like crazy and didnt bother any other fishes that i have. right now i separate them because E.nose looks really bad....
i have a 55 gallons tank with : 2 babies parrot, up side down catfish, and one polypterus. Any idea of what might be the cause? or it is simply that FH should be keep alone in the tank. not so much of a community fish? Im new to this hobby, any advice will be appreciated.

My FH has one attitude....NASTY!!I can't keep anything with him.If your going to keep other fish with your FH,they have to be able to defend themselves. And bigger is better.
Your elephant nose should not be in a tank with a FH.

Flowerhorns are single tank fish and dont do well with other fish. I have tried a number of times but overnight a FH can snap and turn on his tank mates. You have a good chance if whatever fish your keeping is smaller then the FH and wont attempt to take dormancy and can swim very fast :P

This could be why your new fish is chasing your original FH ;)
