FH EYE Pop

Hi guys,

Its been a while I have posted. Been extremely busy.

However my female fh has one eye popping out. Could someone advise what it is..why it happens and how I can cure this? Please advise. Appreciated guys

Popeye is normally either caused by stress or a bacterial infection. A bacterial medication like blazin said, melafix will work just fine.
 
Melafix will not help this, or at least it didn't help me when I got some Kirins that came with it. Looks like it was caused by poor water conditions, I would say step up your water changes considerably.
 
hit or miss with melafix, but yes bacterial infection caused by dirty water typically. There's tons of medicine for this...unilateral popeye is what you have. Could have been damaged that's why it's only one eye. But nonetheless you should be cleaning your water. Add epsom salt first thing after water change. Next find an antibacterial medication...it's better to dose food rather than just drop it into water.
 
get some antibacteril meds like api's triple sulfa, tetracycline, erithromycin... now which one to chose depends on how the fish got the problem....if it from injury...step up wc's and keep water clean and maybe melafix will work. But in your case this looks like bacterial infection ....so I think the meds would be the best route....

I am not going to lie...trying to get rid of pop eye is a b!#CH!!!! and it may be a lost cause because of the infection being so advanced.

I have had fh that get this I put them in a med tank and add epsom salt and jungle parasite cure fizz tabs ususally does the trick to me if that goes untreated for to long it can get reall nasty looking and spread. To prevent I do regular water changes and as a precautionary measure I feed my fish medicated foods once to twice a week. good luck
