My husband has this obsession with Flowerhorns, so he decided to do an experiment to find out the difference in FH colors based on background and substrate colors.
Here is a pic if a red dragon when we first got him (he was in a bare bottom tank...he is the one at the top)
This pic was in a 55g tank with a black background and black sand.
Same tank, but the background was changed to a lighter scene.
After the move to a different 55g with light sand and a "planted background".
Today...after being in the new tank with lighter sand and background for over a month.
Please post your comments/thoughts/opinions...I'd like to hear them. Also, how would you rate him...he was an experiment for my husband and he's gotta go soon!
