FH Kok genes

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Excellent! I have wrigglers (just hatched 2 days ago) from a male texas (i believe he is cyanoguttatus, although some have commented on pics that he is carpintus) and a female flowerhorn. I can't wait to see how the offspring turn out.

It depends on if the female has KOK genes to transmit.

Yes I had thought of this and I am keeping my fingers crossed and hoping that she does. Of course she does not have a nuchal hump and niether does her mate. He has a small bump but nothing like pics I have seen. He is fairly large 8-9" and she is about 6 or 7" so I would think if either were to have one it would have developed by now. Well we will have to wait and see what thier newly hatched offspring will bring to the party:)
Thanks for the input.

If you know what her parents and siblings look like, that could be an indication of the genes she could be carrying- nothing definite though. Good luck with your fry!
