fH: MALE or FEMALE?

i cant seem to tell if my flowerhorn isa male or female.

me and my friends think its a FEMALE.

but tell me what you guys think.

and of course of the anal gland.
i tried to hold her down as long as possibly.
but... my flowerhorn is nutts.

I can't see the shape of the cloaca very well in the pics though. Can you just describe the shape of the vent?

I am not sure what it is but if its more than 5" and has never laid eggs then it's a dude if u have owned it since it was little it should have laid eggs by now if it's a girl and my cichlids will let the eggs sit for a couple of days befor eating them that's how i found out the sex of some of my smaller cichlids.lol

100% male if and I did say if that was a female,it would be worth a lot to someone cause female very rarly get heads,also even though the pics are not great the tube looks a lil pointy to me. its a male.

FlowerHorns unlike other similar species like Trimac's, RD's etc are bred for there humps so male or female doesn't make any difference. If it was a pure species then yes the hump would for sure mean male but since its a hybrid FH the hump tells you nothing. Get us a clearer pic of the vent.........
