FH next week

I love these fish for their looks and personality, I don't know or care about grades or that sort of stuff (don't mean to offend anyone). I bought this Flowerhorn from Thailand who'll get to me next week from the transhipper.
My question (which is probably a stupid one).....it was just labeled as 'young' because it's only 2.5" but it's got the nuchal hump on its forehead starting, do females get that hump also? If so then I guess I have no idea whether this is a male or female. Here's the picture, is it too early to sex it?
(PS You all have some beautiful fish! I hope this seller really sends this actual fish I bought and not another).

Good, I hope it is a male. That's what I wanted. What I liked about this one was that little black spot under its eye. Reminded me of that goofy old Johnny Depp movie "Crybaby".
I'll have to be 'sis' though because I'm female

yes females can get nice size bump heads. more then likely you will get the right fish. it looks like a great fish. gl with it and update when you get it.

I read somwhere that females do get the hump on occassion but like u I dont kno much
and like everyone has said please post some pics wen u do get it in
