Milky Way Galaxy,
I might be getting a 55 or 60 gallon and was wondering i could do this? get them as juvs (same size) and just the 2 of them. with sand and no decorations maybe some live plants in the back...

No. The tank is not big enough for a oscar and is suitable for only 1 flowerhorn. They are both fish that should be kept solo and will not enjoy the company of another fish. Even in a larger tank a flowerhorn will dominate an oscar. Both fish will shred and uproot plants. I suggest reading up on both species more before buying either of them.

ohh ok wont do it then... i just want something awesome with a great personality and fun to feed...

Get a male grammode. Slow growers but worth the wait. Absolutely a monster guapote and they don't get huge.

didnt really like the colors, i was thinking about maybe a bunch of one species. like a puffer only tank...

Puffers are usually kept solo. Most species will typically kill any tank mates regardless of what they are. If flowerhorns are not for you it might be time for a different thread in a different section.

okay thanks am thinking blood parrots now... but still idk thanks for the help

Blood parrots are cool just stay away from dyed, tattooed, and the ones with cut tails. They will work better in a tank that size to you can probably keep 3-5 of them comfortably without fights if you raise them together. Your biggest problem with them will be females who lay eggs pairing up with other fish and guarding/defending territory.
