Actually they are been together for more than 10 days ... i saw them they were digging the gravel, and i place a plate in the center .. they dragged them in the corner of the tank . Now i covered the tank with a towel so that no one will disturb them ...

as you said the tube is been dropped below .... when can i expect the eggs ? do i need to separate the fishes ?

About 3-4 day..cos mine if start for breeding only take 1 week from 1st day pairing to laid eggs

remove the male and leave the female to take care of the fry, then once there able to be netted then place them in another tank and start all over
