hello there,

my female fh just laid eggs and i want to know if i should move her out of the tank or let her with the eggs until they hatch.
am not sure if the male has already fertilized the eggs yet though.
the two fh are separated by a divider so there is no risk of the male hurting the female at all.

If they are already divided then I would just leave them like that. If the male did his job then u will have fry. If he didn't then the female should eat the eggs once they turn white

DONT attempt to let the male in with the female to try and get fry bcus she will defend the eggs and hurt the male.

after how many days should i start to look out for the fh fries?

I usually just let the female take care the wriggler until it can swim freely..but 1 thing for sure, i wont let the male in the same tank, even already put divider...but that also consider your tank size..

why won't you let the male in the same tank even separated by a divider?

If the fry already free swimming, chances for them to go through your divider is high, n the other side the male will assume it as easy food..mom cant always keep away her babies off boarder..
By this day already 3rd day, right..u should notice those fertilize eggs light orange or red color with tiny black eyes already..
