In the next 2 weeks I'll be getting my first "big" tank. I'm getting a full 150gal setup. I already have a smaller tank in which the inhabitants will be moved into this large tank. Inhabitants are:

2 - Blood Parrot ( 5" and 2.5" )
5 - Rainbow fish ( 3-4" max )
2 - Glass catfish
3 - pictus cats
1 - Eclipse cat
1 - pleco 5-6" (not sure if he's common, was labeled that in store but he looks different than my past commons)
1 - silver dollar (1.5")
1 - Peacock eel
1 - comet goldfish (this goldfish is older than most of the fish but only about 6" and has been living in the tropical tank since before I lived with my spouse)

I am not a fan of the FH (the head lump weirds me out) but they are sort of pretty and my spouse LOVES them even though we've never owned one. Our LFS had 1 FH juvenile the last time I was there. I know they can be aggressive. My BP is NOT aggressive or territorial.. he's only pushy when it's feeding time.

Would a FH be compatible with my tank? The decor will be full of caves and plants (artificial) for the smaller fish, but I know there's a possibility of them being food once the others start to grow. I also intended on getting the Silver dollar some friends (5 more silvers) even though he hangs out with the rainbows while at this small of a size. I also wanted to get my glass cats some friends but I dunno if they will all just end up dinner. All of these fish have lived together quite a while and get along quite well (except the single silver and eclipse who were rescued recently).

Also, would introducing it as a juvenile help out in it's coexisting with the other fish as an adult?

to answer your question...no

Do a quick search under this forum, and you'll find out why. You can even look at my old posts about FH, and see why I just recently got her her very own 75g

I had her in the 54g when small, 125g, then 265g all with nonaggressive mates.

Now, she's by herself. Even my 14" pleco wasn't immune to her biting off his fins, or my 2'+ catfish who had CHUNKS taken out of him, or the twice as big oscar who had her insides hanging out literally from the FH. She's totally tame to the hand tho

no. I tried that as well with my now 2'catfish. FH must've been only 4" then. Lived together for I don't know how long. Maybe a year. Until one night FH decided she was to be the only one in the tank
