I have a FH in a 30 gal tank now. He's about 3 inches. In the same tank are 2 pepper corys. Both are 2.5-3 inches. I am going to add another cory and a common pleco.

Your FH is going to terrorize and kill your fish, especially the ones you describe. May not be showing signs of aggression yet, but trust me it will. There is no fish that is safe from a FH unless it is way bigger or very very rugged and can handle a beating.

try an sp44-thickskin cichlid,a convict,or some other aggressive fish.as long as there are hiding spots or numbers to even out aggression, works for me.

there's quite a bit of cichlids who can hold their own against a flowerhorn. I guess from this thread, I was sort of speaking of the common types of commercial fish people buy.

I wouldn't put anything with your Flowerhorn besides a pleco. I had to remove fish that I had with my Flowerhorn because it was hurting itself by running into things chasing them. Either another fish will be killed, or you'll risk another fish killing your Flowerhorn.

I have african cichlids with my small FH. The africans are much to fast for him to catch but then again hes in a 75 and the africans have tons of hiding places and room to run.

lol a pleco isn't going to last. My flowerhorns have killed multiple plecos in different setups throughout the years of collecting. They won't eat it, but you shouldn't be surprised when you come home to a stiff pleco laying on the ground. Not to mention if you get plecos that have barbs, your flowerhorns are going to jack up their face while attempting to kill it.
