I wanted to post a picture of my flowerhorn. This is 24 hours after he was put into his tank. This picture was taken with no lights on.

Thanks...

Very nice-
I sure do miss mine everytime I open one of these threads....
How long you had the guy-How big is it

I just picked him up on Friday. I measued him before I put him into the tank and he was a bit over 7". He has a lot of growing to do.

He looks good to me. Just saw the vids as well.

How does he eat? I think fattening him up is the key to get his full potential out for now. His body looks long and something kinda don't look right because he's a little thin right now I think. I think he has a big head potential and will get bigger as he grows under the right care. After he acclimates fully, take that other fish out so he can grow his head.

Keep us updated!

I haven't really been trying to feed him too much, since I know most of my other fish didn't eat until a few days in the tank. The breeder told me to put a small fish in there with him to make his head bigger. He mentioned something about dominance. Should I pull the other fish out?

thats a pretty nice looking fish!! Color is real good, but I think with a little TLC you can improve it some more. Coming along nicely, keep up the good work. Try adding some freeze dried krill and raw shrimp with shell. Cut it in small pieces while it's frozen is easiest way I have found.

Ok thanks. I removed the smaller fish, just in case. I tried feeding him some krill but he had no interest at all. I tried pellets a few minutes ago with the same result. I still think he is trying to figure things out. Only been home for 24 hours so far. I hope he turns out good. I think he probably has a good base.

I'm kinda suprised how good alot of these photos look that other people are taking. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. I notice that some people have a real knack for it.
