FH vs 21" red bellied Pacu

Howdy, my first post. Am rescuing a 21" red bellied Pacu (3 years old) that's grown up in a 55 gal aquarium. I am considering moving him in with a fh in 500 gal. Have a few concerns.

1. Is a 500 gal aquarium big enough to house both of these fish together?
2. Will rearrange rocks to accommodate pacu hiding needs prior to move, would you recommend removing fh for 30 minutes or so while pacu get's moved in?

Any other suggestions.

Yeah, you should definitely take the FH out while you rearrange the tank so that that way they are both new to the tank.... can you just divide the tank? Welcome to MFK, man...

Remove FH while rearranging. Add Pacu, then let acclimate a while then add FH. But with 500 I don't think you would have a problem anyway.
Man that takes some will power to house only 1 fish in a 500. LOL How I could overstock that tank.
