Had couple successful broods of male red dragon FH x female blood parrot, but the fry all looks very similar as baby FH and doesn’t show any sign of parrot. Is that normal? What kind of fish the FHxparrot offspring will be? Vieja or something weird? Any input would be appreciated! Thanks

You'll end up with allot of different combinations of traits as they are both heavily hybridized fish already. Most should have either a veija body style or an amphilophus body style, also since these would be considered F1 hybrids they could end up with a 50/50 split on what traits they get from their parents. It's not untill crossing the children back to the parents that you'll start getting more normalized traits.

In other words your going to have to cull heavily untill ya end up with the best looking one. Then ya raise it up till it's breeding size and then pair it up with one of the parents or another FH or BP depending on gender of the offspring and the traits your wanting. Then ya do it again and again on repeat till ya get the exact look your going for.

I recommend focusing on one trait at a time so your not wasting time chasing multiple traits across multiple different breeder lines. If ya can get it breeding true to 1 trait, then it's time to work on the next one and so forth.
