what do you breed to get a fh?

They were possibly originally crossbred from Trimacs (Amhilophous Trimaculatus) and one or several other South American cichlids such as Cichlasoma Festae, Amphilophus Citrinellum ('Midas' cichlid), Amphilophus Labiatum ('Red Devil') or Vieja Synspila ('Redheaded' cichlid). Only the original breeders know exactly which species they crossbred to create the Flowerhorn cichlid.

It all depends on what kind of FH your talking the original flower horn is across from a Trimac and Red Devil/Midas... and for most of the rest its pretty much breed with every thing till they found something that looks kinda cool.... So they have just about every thing in them SA that is....

I think that they have been crossed and recrossed so many times now that you could never really tell what was the original parent fish species. They have been crossed with other hybrids also. The original parents were most likely not wild caught but had been selected bred before hand.
