my jar just die (RIP), and i been looking for something that enter acts with its owner. my jar was too shy, it alway gets stardle when someone walk by. i want a fish that has colors, and the FH seems to be perfect. i seen what was called a texas FH at the lfs for $100. it was about 6", beautiful colors, red and green. is that worth it? onw more question, will the color fade away as it grows big, or just get even better?

Sorry to hear about your arowana. FH are great fish, but that's kinda expensive IMO. Their colors don't fade away, given proper care. If for some reason you can't get it, try oscars or jaguar cichlids. Oscars have awesome personalities. How big is your tank btw?
I have a couple of blue texas cichlids. My large male is a glass-banger. He is by far the most interactive fish I have ever had... Actually, my large male may be a hybrid with a FH... here is a pic..
