Is there a difference between a FH thats dark color and a FH thats lighter color?

Cause my FH was pretty Dark and after the water change I just did it seems that the dark colors went away... Is this a good thing or bad thing?? Please reply and Thank you :)

Dark means he was pissed. He is no longer pissed. This is a good thing.

edit/

Pissed= stressed, sick, angry, in dirty water, etc..

How long was it before your last change? Size of fish and tank? What food and how often? Is he alone?
Answering these questions will help others offer a good amount of info.

It was a couple days ago when I last did my water change, And he is about 2.5inch in a 10g growout tank. I feed my FH Hikari Cichlid Gold Sinker pellets and freeze dried bloodworms. I try to feed him 2-3 times a day and he is in the tank with a 4inch pleco.

Also; I am currently treating my FH for Ich... and I'm using Nox-ich... Would that work?
and ever since it got that ich, and after I did today's water change my FH's flowerline seems to fade... would it come back? Please help! and thank you :)

Smaller fish are more easily prone to sickness and stress. The darkness could have been coming from one, or all, of these problems; (Having ich, being small, in a new tank for treatment, medication, maybe the pleco nips at night) I'd actually take out the pleco if it were me. All he's doing is eating and crapping. You need clean water. And remember, the smaller the tank, the faster it gets dirty. No need to power feed him until after after he gets better. Less chance of bad water. You want your water as clean as possible for when you're treating him. Make sure not to overdose with that stuff and keep the oxygen up. Fading is also a sign of stress. When it comes to color, as long as he doesnt die, he'll get it back.

Okie. :) thanks for your help..
Also when you said his color would be gained back, does that mean my FH's blue pearls would come back also? Cause when I look at my FH it looks like its in real bad condition.. but I guess its my fault cause I saw these white dots all over and thought it was nothing... ;\ This is my first FH and I really want it to be a successful FH!!

Flowerhorns can go through a peeling process. So he might change a bit. Pearls stay. They might spread out or get bigger as he grows, but they "should" stay. the vibrancy of them can change, like his color. That's one thing that's fun with FH, you watch them really grow, not just in size, but in color and pattern. (not all, but most) I'm liking the blue in yours though. That should be interesting as he gets bigger. Keep us updated (if he lives).
