1. Which fiberglass products and methods have worked for you?
I've been using the cheap Elmers or Bondo brand fiberglass cloth from Lowes/HD respectively. Interestingly, I found that while both come in 9 sq ft packages, but the Elmers cloth from Lowes comes in roughly 3' X 3' pieces while the Bondo cloth from HD comes in roughly 4.5' X 2' pieces. Just something to keep in mind when deciding what sizes you need.
This is a pretty lightweight cloth so if you're trying to get significant structural strength from it you're probably going to want to do several layers, or alternatively buy a heavier cloth.
I've been wetting out the cloth with West Systems marine epoxy (105 resin + 206 hardener). I've found that this is a great combination to work with for wetting out cloth. I've heard that 105/207 combo is also great but I didn't need the clearcoat so I went with the cheaper option. I've heard that MAS epoxy also works very well for wetting out cloth. The cheapest option is probably to use polyester fiberglass resin but I don't think this provides a watertight barrier by itself so you'll need to coat it with a topcoat of epoxy paint.
2. Where did you buy them?
I bought my cloth from HD/Lowes and my epoxy from West Marine. Most boat repair places should stock both fiberglass cloth and marine epoxy. West Marine also sold cloth but it was a little more expensive than the stuff from HD/Lowes. I also noticed some fiberglass cloth for a pretty good price on Ebay.
3. How much?
The Elmers/Bondo cloth runs around $6-7 for one 9 sq ft package. The WS 105 resin is around $35/qt and the 206 hardener is around 18$/0.44 pt. I think the MAS stuff is a little cheaper.
I've found that the West Systems use guide is a very valuable resource for learning how to use these products.

Hope that helps.
