Well I found this wile making room for a kiddie pool pond and was thinking about using it has a base for a DIY tank. Its 60x35x3 and thinking about ideas for materials. Anybody got any ideas?

I have thought about doing something like that for a acrylic tank bottom. My idea was to attach some square bars of acrylic to the bottom using a rubber strip and some stainless bolts. Then making an acrylic tank around it. You might even figure a way to fiberglass the back and sides and just do an acrylic front window.
I don't know if the cost savings for all acrylic except for the bottom would be worth it.
Also, there are ways to fiberglass premade panels together. That is how they repair boats, Corvetts, etc. Maybe somebody who knows more about fiberglass fabrication can give some more information on that.
