Fiding Nemo I.Q test

Me and a few friends at an LFS came up with a new way to test a childs intelligence. It is pass or fail.

If a kid walks into a pet store and points at any random fish and says NEMO!
FAILED (stupid child spend college fund on a new car) lol jk.

If a child finds a clownfish and says NEMO!!
HE PASSED!!

I know this is not a real test but I think it is funny and we have been laughing at people for years about this little joke. Children and adults as well I feel it works for!

Extra credit if they name a Blue Tang - Dore or Ellen

I think that clown fish are retarded now that everyone wants one and they are all named Nemo.
 
How about extra extra credit if the kid passes all the community fish and stares at the ugly predatory fish thinking they're cooler..
 
I went into a petshop and asked:

me "Do you have any of those nemo fish"

(looking oh so smug as he responded)
kid : No, and they are called "clown fish"

me: what about dory's do you have any of those?

(now with some attitude)
kid : What's a dory? Oh you mean a blue tang..

Me : oh, okay... Do you have a Zebrasoma flavescens?

(with a weird look)
kid - huh?

me: how about a Gramma loreto?

(eyes popping out)

kid - huh? what's that?

me : How much are you Ostracion cubicus? (pointing in the general direction of the boxfish but still not pointing "to" them I think I may have pointed to about 6 or so tanks LOL

kid - umm.... What's that?

me : Don't worry mate
*leaves*

This is what I do when I'm bored and at a fish shop.
 
I just watched this movie, because every kid finds the clownfish and says Nemo! The scientific inaccuracies are apalling, but hey, it's a cartoon. I don't believe that rays collect up all the reef fish for educational purposes but oh well. LOL
 
And by the way, I believe a fast car is a much better investment than a drooling child.
 
lol thats great about the nemo and dory. lol that will teach him.
 
I am willing to bet that thousands of clownfish and tangs died because of that movie. But it did promote fishkeeping. I can't decide whether that is good or bad.
