I have currently 2 spotted puffer in my 10 gal. tank and they aren't that big and was wondering if it would be O.K. to add 1 or 2 figure 8 puffers. I know that the figure 8's don't get as big and was wondering if they might get attacked by my other puffers, even though they seem pretty calm.

I've got 3 gsp's and 1 figure 8 in my 150 community and they do fine. that tank is just to small for long term for these fish. If you have an upgrade in mind I would say yes but make sure you can return them or have a back up plan in case one develops a bad attitude.

yeah i do have a 37 gallon tank for when they grow bigger. And that is good news that i can get a figure 8 puffer because i really wanted one or two

The 37g will only be large enough for a single GSP. Picture a Nerf football swimming in there! That's how big an adult GSP gets. Even as juvies, I wouldn't keep more than one in a 10g & that's only while it's <2". Please do not buy any more fish for that tank. I suggest moving the 2 puffers into the 37g tank ASAP.

Also, GSPs & F8s need different salt requirements. GSPs going into high-end BW & even better--marine as adults. F8s live longest at low-end BW SG of 1.005.

GSPs grow to 3x the mass of a F8 & is generally much more aggressive, so they don't make good tank mates for each other.
