Fila got a bumped nose

i got a 15- 16" brachyplatystoma filamentosum.... it spazzes and goes crazy and hits the walls of the tank pretty hard ( u can hear the thump x_x) , does that like at least once everyday ... it's snout is like bent downward, by 45 degrees ....anyway to fix it? net it out and bend it straight ? prolly a bad idea..... but ya.....

dang man, your fila is UGLY! I had my filas in a round roundish stock tank and it never did that and its face was not smushed in like yours.

Mine were babies and I got them used to me coming over so they never spazzed out and hit they snout.

Looks gorgeus but when they get some snout damage i dont think that it can be rectified. we have a tsn at work with a similar condition but not quite as downturned

ugly in a way but cute in another , it has that everlasting smile on its face now...

too bad no one around me has a round pond or round tank for it....

i think its cuz the tank is 24" wide , thats why its not wide enough so it gets spooked... sigh... only if i could it ....

I have 3 limas, and one is a freak like that, he has broken his tooth plate several times and now his nose is at a 45 deg angle, up though. I feel ya man, not exactly what you want in your show tank. In my situation it was everytime the tank lights would come on, so I switched to a dimmer light and floating plants. I would look for what ever may be setting him off and remedy it. I don't think the bend is fixable though.
