Need help getting my filamentosum catfish to eat. I've offered him blood worms krill brine shrimp tilapia sinking wafers. I have yet to see him eat anything. He looks kind of skinny too. Any tips?
I think (and hope) the fish is merely still adjusting and/or hasn't learned yet to recognize feed kinds that are new to it.
If it's really a piraiba, IME they are unfussy and will learn to take both pellets and thawed fish. If they are comfortable and stress-free.
From my experience, yes. The bigger one will dominate the smaller one and given the huge size differential, the smaller one will either perish or be eaten.Sorry for hijacking. Would 4" fila mix with 11" fila be a problem?

I have a couple of 16"-ers and the smaller one is not comfortable with the bigger bully.
