filamentosum ph level

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
They can tolerate a good ranged pH. Don’t believe there’s been a target specific number for keeping filamentosa. Definitely needs clean pristine water quality.

Just wondering because I moved him to a bigger tank last night and the new tank ph level is higher than the old tank. And he's been siting in the same spot for like 12 hours not moving at all. Hopefully he's just getting used to the new tank.

Probably from the move.

By higher do you mean more acidic (lower number) or more basic (higher number)?

What was the pH of the old tank and what is the pH of the new tank?

The proper pH isn't as important as a constant pH and major changes are hard on fish. Ideally for that specie you'd want to be closer to 6.6-7.0 probably and softer water.
