Hi everyone, Just joined and am filling my tank as I type. I just bought a 240 gallon tank, and am excited to get it started. Filter wise I'm not sure what is the best way to go so if anyone has any suggestions I accept all.

pics? specifics?

no pics yet. Basically all I have is the tank, stand and sink to fill it with. I have a 75 gallon up and running right now with 2 oscars that hate each other, a jack dempsey and a jaguar cichlid which will hopefully love the new home.

are you wanting to do a canister filter or a wet/dry? is the tank drilled? a lot of people here use the fluval fx5 for a large canister filter with good results. or you can do a wd filter, if the tank isnt drilled you can do hob overflows. you have a lot of options. with a little more info on your setup and maintenance habits you will get the right answers.

I'm going to do what I always do and suggest a wet/dry.
