I'm Where I'm At
I have a wading pool. It's about 10' wide, 23' long and about 2-3' deep.

I am going to fill it. Thinking about filling it with rocks (black rocks they use to pave streets) half way or so and filling the rest of it with dirt.

I plan on putting one of those playground sets up in the area with the tower to climb and a swing set and slide for my kids.

I'm wondering what things do I need to consider. Do I need to drill holes or break open the bottom of the pool so when it rains the water seeps out? Or will rain not be a problem? I'm wondering will the rain make the dirt soft and later the playground set will start to sink or become unleveld and lopsided? I'm cutting down some palm trees, can I cut those up and toss them in there?

any info would help

Hmmm, dirt and rocks eh? Given that route I'd think it would detiriorate in a year or so. If you really want to do it I'd go to Home Cheepo and get some 4x4's and 2x12's and just construct a raised bed. Most swings and forts need to be set(anchored) in the ground with concrete to keep from falling over. Just an fyi. Crying kids and lawsuits are no fun.
