This Is getting to be wierd. I switched all of my tanks over to nls 2 weeks ago and for some reason there is a film starting to occur on the surface. Dont know why. It's wacky. I do my weekly water changes, I use prime every time. Clean my filter pads etc. is it the food doing this?

Increase filtration in the tanks. Generally film on the top of the water can come from 'stagnant' water, so more circulation might help. I feed NLS to my tanks though, and I haven't noticed any filmy substance. Sorry.

How are the fish doing? Any noticeable changes in behavior?

Circulation doesn't remove the organic film, just moves it around.

You can either get a cheap surface skimmer and attach it into your filter intake to remove it,
or take a small bucket to manually remove the top layer of the water during water changes.

NSL and Hikari food tend to cause such problem

All Fish are fine. Eating really good. Ill try and do bigger water changes

This. Get the Fluval surface skimmer. Attaches to your canister filter. Works like a charm.

I just get a cheap HOB and stuff a micron sock inside. Got a cheap surface skimmer and attached in onto the intake. Run for 1 day and presto, no more film. Then I just toss the HOB and skimmer into the storeroom where it awaits for the next film.
